Connective tissue provides support, binds together, and protects tissues and organs of the body. It consists of three main components: cells, protein fibers, and an amorphous ground substance. It is a thick and fibrous.
Please watch the video at the bottom of the page from the creator of KCR Hugh Gilbert. He explains how it works fully there.
Our connective tissue, also known as fascia or myofascial, can hold onto memories and emotions. An injury that you may have suffered as a child can come back many years later causing you pain and discomfort. Your connective tissue can harden and become stuck, so by releasing your connective tissue or fascia it will become more soft and mobile and thus hopefully reducing the lack of mobility, pain and discomfort. This is body releasing ‘past trauma’
This procedure can also bring about an emotional release too.
Some people have reported that they feel like they’re walking much straighter, feel taller and notice a real difference in the way they are holding themselves. Many others reported uninterrupted nights sleep and being fully pain free for the first time in many years.

Normally CTR is carried out alongside KCR (Kinetic Chain Release). We would normally suggest having at least 2 sessions of KCR to see how your body responds before we commence with any CTR. Please contact me to discuss this further, or book yourself a KCR session and we can check if CTR is an option for you.
